Yale University Clock Tower - Lead Encasement
The Challenge
The clock tower was full of peeling and chipped paint and water was getting inside the tower structure. The University was looking for a way to stabilize the deteriorated paint, waterproof the surfaces and to provide a long-term solution.

The Solution
Our encasement system was chosen for its long term durability, color stabilization, and proven track record over previously painted deteriorated surfaces. One coat of the primer followed by two coats of the finish coat we applied. The result was a waterproof membrane that completely stabilized the surfaces of the entire tower, which will provide many years of protection for the University.
