Post Office - Litchfield, CT - Lead Encasement
The Challenge
The Litchfield Post Office is a Historic Building, which was built, in the late 1800s. The Building had badly peeling paint and also had rust bleeding through on one side where metal anchors were discoloring the painted surfaces. The owner wanted the surfaces stabilized and the rust dealt with while the Post Office continued to operate.

The Solution
An encasement system with a rust inhibitive primer was chosen to help stop the rust and to stabilize all of the painted surfaces. The building received a rust inhibitive primer coat followed by two coats of the encasement finish coat.
