NYCSCA - Roberto Clemente Elementary School
The Challenge
The NYC School Construction Authority had several issues with loose and failing asbestos tile throughout the entire first floor of the school. They wanted a system that could handle movement in the substrate without cracking, would be seamless and be easier to maintain, and would solve their current asbestos tile environmental issues.

The Solution
The ECI Seamless Floor Encasement System was chosen because it met all of the NYCSCA requirements and had a proven track record with NYC Schools. This system was tested for one year at a NYC school under normal use and exceeded expectations. The system was applied to all of the first floor classrooms, the cafeteria, staff offices, the custodian’s office, and the hallways and stairwells.
