NRCSD - Haverstraw Elementary School
The Challenge
The North Rockland Central School District had an issue with Vinyl Asbestos Tiles in the hallways of Haverstraw Elementary School. Over time tiles become loose, crack or break and this presents a hazardous – and costly – condition. The school district wanted to find a cost-effective, environmentally safe solution to address the problem with a permanent remedy.

The Solution
ECI’s asbestos tile encasement system was chosen for its superior track record over tile in several other schools. The main floor was completely redone with the system and was seamlessly installed adjacent to the existing terrazzo floor in the lobby. The NRCSD, custodian, and principal were very pleased and satisfied with the results.
